In 2017, I accepted the call of Senior Pastor at Sunnylane Baptist Church. I believe church should be the most exciting place to come to. I believe God wants to see the church He saw in the book of Acts where the church is totally filled with a living Christ going out and touching the world with the gospel. My motivation in ministry is to point people to a loving Christ through His offer of salvation and the joy of His service.

Executive Pastor

Darrin joined the ministry team at Sunnylane Baptist Church in Del City, Oklahoma, in June 2025. With more than 35 years of church ministry experience, he has a deep passion for evangelism and a strong desire to see the local church thrive.

Darrin accepted Christ at age 19 during a Starlight Crusade in Del City, Oklahoma, and later sensed a call to ministry while attending Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has served churches in Tennessee, Texas, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Arkansas, and has shared the Gospel internationally in countries including Romania, Brazil, Montenegro, Guatemala, China, Thailand, Israel, and throughout Africa.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Ouachita Baptist University and a Master of Arts in Religious Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Darrin and his wife, Carmela, have been married since 1989 and have two adult children, Hannah (married to JB McBride) and Hunter.

His favorite Bible promise is: “A father of the fatherless and a judge for the widows, is God in His holy habitation.” – Psalm 68:5

Student Pastor

I accepted the position of Student Pastor at Sunnylane in January of 2019. I was called to ministry when I was 14 years old at Falls Creek in Davis, Ok. The Lord saved my soul when I was 9 years old in my childhood home. My wife and I are blessed to have the opportunity to grow and serve here in Del City. We have been married since 2011 and have 2 beautiful children Pike and Gray.

As of June 2018, I accepted the call of Children's Director at Sunnylane where my husband is currently serving as Senior Pastor. We have been serving our Lord together for more than 21 glorious years. We have been married for 28 years and have beautiful twins named Jake and Taylor.

Assistant Children’s Director

I grew up in church and have always been an active member throughout the years. I fully surrendered to the Lord in 2018 and Sunnylane has been our home ever since. I am so excited that God has opened the door for me to be able to serve in the children’s ministry and help lead them to Christ! I have worked in education for 13 years and I am excited to use that experience in this ministry! My husband, Chris and I have been married since 2014, and we have two beautiful daughters.

Worship Leader

I gave my life to Christ at the age of twelve while attending a Christian camp in Puerto Rico, where I was raised. Since then, God has allowed me to serve faithfully in worship ministry and Hispanic outreach for over twenty years. I’m honored to serve as Worship Leader and be part of what He’s doing through Sunnylane. Outside of ministry, I’m blessed to be Jennifer’s husband and Christian’s, dad.
